SURVEY PLATFORM / FEEDBACK MANAGEMENT

SurveyLuma
From every response to a clearer next step.

A survey and feedback management platform connecting survey design, distribution, response analysis and follow-up in one workspace.

The project

SurveyLuma gives organizations a connected way to collect feedback and act on it. Teams can manage versioned surveys, organize participants, track invitations, explore responses and coordinate follow-up across locations. A shared overview brings response trends and outstanding work together, while detailed records retain the context behind each answer.

What SpartanBots worked on

SpartanBots designed and built the complete SurveyLuma product, from its React.js and TypeScript frontend and survey workflows to the Node.js backend with Fastify, with PostgreSQL and Supabase supporting the database layer. Our delivery connected survey administration, participant imports, invitations, response management, reporting and follow-up with the operational controls needed to run the platform.

Key areas of work

  • Versioned survey creation, publishing and assignment
  • Participant imports with eligibility and duplicate review
  • Invitation tracking and visible delivery states
  • Responses from email, public links and paper entry
  • Response trends, filters and CSV exports
  • Feedback review, case notes and resolution workflows
  • Location settings, suppression actions and activity history
THE BUSINESS BEHIND THE BUILD

A closer look
at the work.

Product context

A useful survey platform does more than collect answers. Organizations need to manage which survey is used, who is invited, which records should count and what happens when feedback needs a response. SurveyLuma brings those responsibilities into one workspace. The reviewed implementation demonstrates these workflows in a multi-location customer-experience setting, while the platform connects survey administration, analysis and follow-up as a broader product.

THE PRODUCT CHALLENGE

Feedback can become fragmented when survey design, participant lists, delivery records, reporting and follow-up live in separate tools. The product needed to connect that journey without losing the context of each response. It also needed clear handling for duplicate records, missing information, unmatched submissions and feedback awaiting review, so an attractive dashboard would be supported by usable operational records.

How the work
comes together.

The application features, engineering work and user workflows behind the project.

01

Design surveys with a dependable version history

The survey library supports creating, editing, publishing and assigning surveys. Published versions stay unchanged, while assignments apply to future invitations. That makes questionnaire changes a visible part of the workflow instead of silently changing the meaning of existing responses.

02

Prepare participants before distribution

Imports preview eligibility and duplicates before records are committed. Missing contact information and incomplete dates remain visible, and repeat imports reuse existing visits. Invitation views then show whether a record is eligible, held or already handled.

03

Bring different response channels together

The response workspace brings email, public-link, paper-entry and historical responses into a common view. Teams can search records, filter by source and location, review individual answers and export CSV data. Unmatched and duplicate submissions are excluded from the displayed aggregate ratings.

04

Connect analysis to the next action

Overview dashboards pair response trends with pending actions. Feedback requiring attention moves into a review queue before outreach is approved. Follow-up records carry case notes, closure requests and resolution status, connecting the customer response to the work it creates.

05

Give administrators operational visibility

Location settings, survey assignments, suppression actions, delivery review and activity history support the people running the platform. The operational workspace makes incomplete records and waiting work visible rather than treating them as hidden exceptions.

TECHNICAL PERSPECTIVE

Behind the experience

SpartanBots delivered the complete application with React.js and TypeScript for the frontend, Node.js with Fastify for the backend, and PostgreSQL and Supabase for the database layer. The interface connects to the backend through APIs, with related survey, participant, invitation, response and follow-up records supporting the workflow. Published survey versions and explicit review states give users context for decisions across the product. The reviewed sandbox uses synthetic records and illustrative scoring, so its screenshots demonstrate the interface rather than production volume or business results.

PRACTICAL VALUE

What the delivery supports

SurveyLuma supports a complete feedback workflow: prepare a survey, manage distribution, understand the responses and coordinate the next action. Teams can move from a high-level trend to the underlying record, then into a review or follow-up process. The practical value is a connected workspace with visible states and responsibilities, rather than a survey that ends when an answer is submitted.
