THE BUSINESS BEHIND THE BUILD
A closer look
at the work.
Product context
Managing a NYC property portfolio means coordinating building information, compliance requirements, inspections, documents, and payments across many properties. ReHub brings that work into one SaaS application so property management teams can understand what needs attention and take the next action without piecing together information from disconnected tools.
Explore the project context ↗THE PRODUCT CHALLENGEThe central product challenge was connecting information to execution. A property record needs to lead to the right requirement, deadline, project, document, and responsible workflow. When teams manage many buildings, repeating each operation property by property creates unnecessary administrative work. The application needed both a clear portfolio overview and practical ways to act on groups of properties.
01A shared property and portfolio workspace
We contributed to a centralized property management system that lets users manage multiple buildings from one interface. Table, card, and map views provide different ways to explore the same portfolio. Compliance status and upcoming requirements sit alongside property information, helping teams identify the records that need closer attention.
02Compliance tracking connected to daily work
The platform brings NYC local-law and building-regulation workflows into the application. Deadline tracking and notifications help teams stay aware of filing and inspection requirements. Portfolio-level visibility connects that awareness to the individual properties and projects requiring action.
03Bulk operations that reduce repetitive administration
We worked on automation and bulk-processing capabilities for operations across multiple properties. Document generation, scheduling, and compliance-related workflows can be handled as connected processes instead of repeated isolated tasks. This makes the interface useful for both individual building work and larger portfolio operations.
04Project dashboards and operational visibility
Dashboards and project views bring status, outstanding work, and operational information together. The product interfaces include property tables, project status views, timelines, and a compliance dashboard. These views help users move between a portfolio summary and the underlying work without losing context.
05Documents and business workflows in the same system
Document management and generation are connected to property-related processes. PandaDoc integration supports document-signing workflows, while QuickBooks connects accounting-related activity. The goal is to keep compliance operations aligned with the surrounding business processes rather than requiring separate manual handoffs.
06ReBot: AI within the SaaS workflow
We contributed to ReBot, an AI-powered assistant that helps users interact with compliance-related information and find answers around NYC building requirements. OpenAI capabilities are integrated into the broader application experience, making assistance accessible where users already manage their portfolios. This is part of the product workflow, rather than a separate standalone chatbot.
07External systems connected to portfolio operations
The integration work included NYC compliance systems such as DOB NOW and ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, alongside OpenAI, QuickBooks, and PandaDoc. These connections bring compliance information, energy benchmarking, document signing, and accounting into the broader operational picture.
TECHNICAL PERSPECTIVE
Behind the experience
This was a full-stack business application with interconnected modules: property records, portfolio views, dashboards, APIs, automated workflows, documents, and AI-assisted information access. React, Node.js, WeWeb, and PostgreSQL form part of the project technology stack, with OpenAI supporting AI capabilities and Duda included in the web technology scope. The engineering work centered on connecting user-facing experiences to business workflows and external services, while supporting both individual records and portfolio-level operations.
PRACTICAL VALUE
What the delivery supports
ReHub gives property management teams a centralized way to organize compliance work, improve visibility across portfolios, and keep track of important deadlines. Automation and bulk processing reduce repetitive administrative effort, while connected documents, integrations, and ReBot make the application a more useful operational workspace.
